Help! This is urgent!!!

I'm trying to make a character wad of myself and each time the level loads, the game crashes and gives me a segment violation. Anyone know how i can fix this?

edit: I keep trying but the segment violation keeps poping up

Firstly, I'd suggest some shading, even a recolor can have a decent amount of work put in it.

Secondly, I believe there are some sprites that are misnamed. These could cause your error. Otherwise, the problem lies in SSKIN.

Lastly, make sure you have a sturdy shield on hand for what comes when the rest of the community unearths this little... gem. :-P

Thank you guys very much. I got it to work. (Even though the wiki has lots of stuff to look at, but did not help one bit D=)

It has more than enough basic information on character wad design. Is the article well-written? No. But does it contain what you need? Yes. You have to actually follow the instructions provided.
