Having trouble using Nitemare.wad....

WHenever I play, I like to use Nitemare, so when I type in "addfile wadfile.wad", it says the skin is added, but it never shows up in the list! Why is that? Also, when I try to play added levels, like the Aeroshrine level, I type "Addfile wadfile.wad" there aswell, but then I don't know where to access the level? Any Suggestions? :)
 
The wad probably isn't set up to show up on the list, start a netgame and change to that character through the Setup Player menu.

Aero Shrine is map01, I believe.. so just start the game over.
I'm not sure what map it is, actually. When you add the file, it should tell you what maps are added.
 
I remember it showing up in the list once, but it has never done it again. And when i do start the game for the first time after I input the levels name, it still takes me to Greenflower Zone.

Yes, well I have no life.
If you add the file with the console, it will always tell you what maps were added.
 
I think I remember it saying Map06 or Map06D or SOMETHING like that. I still don't know how to get Nitemare to show up on the list. Can someone please give me some more advice?
 
I told you, it won't show up on the list. You have to start a netgame, Go to Multiplayer->Setup Player and choose your character from there.
 
If the creator didn't set the char to appear on the select, don't expect to see it at all. To play as an added char in SP(MR excluded), type SPLITSCREEN 1 in the console, then SKIN (skinname), then SPLITSCREEN 0.
 
And if I wanted to play with myself, I can't? I remember doing it once, and I have a Save File with him as the character, but not on the desired stage I'd like to be on. But now the icon next to the file is gone, and when i load it, it's somehow turned into a regular Sonic sprite with Nitemare's color of skin.
 
Um, no, it shouldn't. Getting the player to be selectable for SP is a thing the creator does involving SOC. Using the launcher does nothing to affect the character wad whatsoever.
 
Well, I stil cant get Nitemare to appear, and I'm pretty sure Senku won't work either now. Anyways, can someone show me a link to a WAD making guide besides the one on the website? There was one on the forums, but it was a 404 link. I'd love to make my own character, Spark The Echidna, real soon, but I don't know where to start.
