Gameplay whitout the master thingy

Is it possible to play a netgame whitout the Master Server?I mean that server is about 15000 km away from me and my friend and our connection is almost "missing".

Yes; connect to an IP. It's the only way I've ever played netgames.

www.portforward.com, as well as being an incredibly useful site for configuring firewalls/routers, tells you your IP address. In case you had any trouble figuring it out.

I know my IP , but that IP which is shown in the Master Server is diffrent from that which is shown in the "LAN" (2 computers on the System Tray).

That's because LAN IPs can only be used over a LAN game. Hence, you don't know your IP, you know your LAN IP.
