When you have more than the default amount of tics for GameOverTics, it ends much shorter. However, having less tics than the default amount will make it last longer.

I don't see how that is a bug. The Game Over time is calculated as 2100-GameOverTics.
 
Okay, I think I'll sort something about this. This isn't a bug, just a really unintuitive way of doing this.
