Game Styles - Game Styles modify the overall feel of the game to bring it closer to officially released games.

Currently, each style is yet to be tested in actual true online setting. Please take it into consideration; bug reports for multiplayer are accepted.

Game Styles is a set of mods developed by Team Blue Spring ("Team Springs"). These modify the overall feel of the game to bring it closer to officially released games. Be it by replacing objects with their equivalents or even bringing certain gameplay mechanics without breaking Sonic Robo Blast 2's core gameplay experience.

We apologize for the inconvenience. There was a lot of chaos and unexpected problems. Hopefully it calmed down for everyone. We would like to thank the Message Board staff for being helpful to us.

Hopefully you will enjoy Game Styles, there definitely will be some update in the future.

Styles - 3.025

So, we rebased the custom HUD library to make it again compatible with other mods using it. Namely, Gamma.

The thok item crash should be hopefully fixed as well, and some additional safety measures to S3K special stage exit were added.

Styles - 3.080 - Fixes fixes fixes update

I am taking break after this one, I feel just exhausted... There is still plenty of work to do. Anyway, I am taking pause for about a week (still open to interaction about styles, but preferably please write git issue or into SRB2 MB discussion.)

Changelog:

# All styles:

+ Most of non-jingle tunes now have loop points
+ Most of the jingles now fade away.
~ Music checks and fixes (Super extensive, music file dilemma is on back burner)
~ Fix losing reference to exit sector (this was cause...

The hud disappears when i use the dimps style with advance sonic in multiplayer
If you are talking about HUD being replaced by Advance Sonic's then that's intentional. To avoid any overlaps, and we don't have some super access to what many characters do in their HUDs.

yknow what other sonic game dimps developed ;)

You are free to develop those "other games". Sonic 4 Episode 1, Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic Unleashed PS2 (Technically just level design but still counts), Sonic Generations 3DS and Lost World 3DS. You are free to develop all of those. Nothing stops you, no need to suggest in such sneaky manner.

Taken into mind, not right away. I am taking a break.

Quick question are you literally pyro from cynical, also yeah I actually was making sure if I was using the current version for this mod when sharing my post and I learned it got updated that way

Awesome update! I'm glad the monitor problems were fixed, hahaha. After some playing, I did notice some more issues. Clearing a level with the Sonic CD preset has the End of Level results screen use the Sonic 1 style (with the oval and font) and clearing a level in the Sonic 2 Preset says "(player) GOT THROUGH ACT" with no act number added after. Though since many title cards and intermission use either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3's graphics, I assume that these are just placeholder for a future update?

Placeholders. For me, it was important that at least one style is fully featured. Then it will be a matter of how to handle that going forward. Also, it provides a lot of space for future updates and in case I would leave SRB2 modding, the Styles itself would provide enough value to stand on its own. And in case I would leave it unfinished, maybe someone will be bothered enough to finish the part they want.

Like HUD layouts is one of the features I am momentary developing.

I think the tally music *still* gets interrupted on the latest version

Welp... I went with the nuclear option. Though, thinking about it. I should have gone with it in the first place. I mean, who would want Super eating away their rings and so their score. So, all power ups are pretty much gone moment you touch exit sector, therefore no interruptions.

Should be fixed if what you did was change in Sonic Advance 1 hud, the life icon style to Advance 3.

Addressing the intermissions slowly. I would like to go at a faster rate, but having to recreate brand-new fonts just slows down the process. CD is probably the last font I will do for styles, though only because it is priority preset. Literally, most of the style development was spent on something regarding fonts...

Okay, it seems like I introduced some warnings with the Mania intermission in certain circumstances and layouts in menus do not switch. However, I won't rush it to fix it anymore. At this point, release pushes can be slowed down. Of course, I will go with one more hot fix tomorrow. I will try to focus on more meaningful updates, however.

A lot of these issues cropped up because I spent the entire time only creating and fixing, no time for playtesting. At best, I opened up the game to see if whatever I developed runs. It is time to step back. After hotfix, I will take a week break. Afterward, update cycle will appear more normal than this non-stop panic.

I think the mania boss act 1 and act 2 options correspond to the opposite themes? Not that it matters much since you can just set it to use act 1 and it will play act 2’s

Correct me if I’m wrong btw, I don’t like being wrong

Fortunately, no one is right. They are Eggman Themes from Sonic Mania, no ACT1/ACT2. Sonic Mania had multiple boss tracks.
