Game Running Slow

The game has been moving slowly while playing. It happens in regular gameplay so it is not the Internet slowing it down. I think it might be from having a lot of files on the computer. Can anybody help me figure out why it is doing this?

Make sure you don't have anything else open while running SRB2.

Has it started doing this recently, or did it always do this?

It seems to be running fine now. I don't know why it was doing this. Thanks for the help anyway.
