game gives me an error every time i try to launch

every time i try to launch i get the error "srb2.pk3 not found! expected in C:\Users\user\SRB2 v2.2, ss file: C:\Users\user\SRB2 v2.2\srb2.pk3" both the zip archive and the installer give me this message. I'm using windows 11 and not sure how to fix this.

Where did you install SRB2 at ? If you used the installer, it should be in the folder you specified.
It also actively advises against installing in places like "Downloads" because that can screw with things.

i actually have no idea what's wrong (ignore the folder name)

Try pasting this to the file? (keep a backup for your PK3 tho just incase)

ok, i cant send the pk3 here, try re-installing srb2 into another folder and getting the pk3 from there

i tried that, and you can even see srb2.pk3 is in the folder it's looking for in the screen shot so i really don't understand why it's giving me this error. i even downloaded the archive and tried unpacking it into a separate folder but it gives me the same error.

Are you installing it into its own folder, or into a larger folder with lots of other files unrelated to SRB2?

I'm using the default path the installer uses, which creates its own folder in C:\Users\user\SRB2 v2.2
i have tried uninstalling and re-installing but that didn't work either
