Heya! it's been a while huh?

This is my first post for my Ring Racers map pack, that features all new map based on Sonic Colour's Aquarium Park:

Right now its the only map, but there will be more in future and some of them are returning ones from SRB2Kart. Hopefully you'll enjoy the map, i but a lot of efffort on this one.

Shouldn't NoVisitNeeded be set to true for it to even be accessible?

It shows up as if it's locked.
 
Hey I freaking love this track. It's gorgeous, I really like the layout and how open-ended it can get, you did a fantastic job adapting Aquarium Park for Ring Racers. I have a few minute suggestions:

The speed panel texture being misaligned like this stands out too much. I would either shrink this surface to fit the texture or make a new texture that matches the surface size if it really needs to stay this big.

I would lower the U-turn signal and add a couple more; make like 3 signs that follow along the curve. I think the water distortion effect can make the sign blend in a bit when it's so high up. If you can forgive a crude MS Paint mockup:

Lastly: Bad screenshot but I would adjust the position of the yellow arrows a bit. I think this section is a cool idea but it was a little easy to miss what I was supposed to do on my first time around. Maybe scooting the yellow arrows in towards the left a bit, adding another one and creating sort of a trail in the sky with them directing the player to the right visually.

I sincerely feel that this is one of the best custom tracks to publicly release so far! If you can just telegraph some of the trickier sections a bit I think you'll have something truly great here.

v1.2 HOTFIX

Heya!

Had to do one more Hotfix for Aquarium Park:
  • Changed spinning and rising speed on water turbine just before finish line so you don't hopefully get blown up when chased by SPB.
  • Added water terrain effect to water currents
  • Added deathplane to under the ramp just before the double waterslide part
  • Made players respawn when trying to use sneaker panel to get through the first tripwire in upper route

v2.0 Leaf Forest and Hot Crater added!

Heya!

This update adds two maps: Leaf Forest and Hot Crater. These are based on maps that i made originally for SRB2Kart, but now remade for Ring Racers. Layouts similar to the originals, but there are few twists added to make them feel more fresh and more fitting with RR's mechanics.

Played the update - the new tracks are excellent and I really appreciate the signage changes in Aquarium Park!

My only note on the 2 new ones is a minor nitpick. I feel that Hot Crater's environment feels very sparse. The original level doesn't leave you with much to work with in terms of background, though, so it's understandable and I don't really have any ideas for how you'd spruce it up. It is absolutely not a dealbreaker, this is simply the only piece of critique I have for these tracks at all.

Heya, had to do a couple hotfixes:

Leaf Forest
  • Adjusted signage and road steepness on the turn after water section.
  • Fixed the U-turn sign showing wrong way
Hot Crater
  • Added collision to the fences at the right side of the first split path.
Aquarium Park
  • Added more deathplanes under the double waterslide part
