FOF issue

So I'm making a map and decided that it would be nice to add a small wooden fence alongside the edges of some sectors.

I chose to make the fence using FOFs instead of pegging midtextures, as a way of giving the fence a 3D look.

Yet I seem to have the player's sprite get affected (visually) by just standing near the fence or even just looking at it.
*Edit: Looking at it no longer causes any visual problems, but the former effect still remains.

Is there a reason for this?

IIRC sprites are known to sometimes end up being drawn behind FOFs/midtextures/the like in software. It's most likely an SRB2 bug therefore. =V
 
I see, also I realised this problem mainly occurs whenever I try to make FOF-styled fences near cliff edges.

I've already made the necessary changes to avoid this problem by fiddling with the size of the FOF.
