Floor over floor... over water?

I've hit a bit of a snag in a level I'm designing...

I've got the hang of FOF's in general, but there's this one part I can't figure out. Specifically, how to create a bridge FOF over an existing water sector.

The underwater colormap still affects you when you're under the bridge, but other than that, it's like running around above water.

I've tried multiple solutions, and this is the best I have so far, compared to earlier results. I even loaded up GreenFlower Zone as a ref, but I still couldn't figure it out.

Any hints, tips, etc. would be appreciated.
 
You don't even have to copy the water sector, just give the water sector that you already have an additional control linedef and tag it with the same tag as the bridge.
 
Here's an example of what you could do
Have two control sectors.
One is water with a linedef tag of, lets say 4
Another one is your FOF, ALSO with the linedef tag of 4

I assume you can figure out the rest from there. ;)
