I actually already reinstalled my drivers a while ago, before I did both of these happened AND my computer occasionally just outright crashed with a fatal graphics driver error (again only in software). That got fixed, but these still happen. :x

Yeah, like I said, it only happens in Software.

That doesn't do anything except bring up the start menu as usual. I think you may have misunderstood the problem.

jloy1, this is Software. It doesn't have anything to do with either DirectX (AFAIK, not even OpenGL uses that) nor the graphics card. No idea what it is though.

I think this happened to me a while back too. Whenever it occurred, I just restarted my computer and SRB2 worked properly again. And after I upgraded my video drivers, this stopped happening completely.

Bumpity bump, I just wanted to note that I found a workaround, neither of these problems happen with the SDL exe, so I've just been using that instead.
