Personally, they would be Metal Sonic Hyperdrive The S Factor and Sonic Megamix, none of them I like more than the others and all have their merits for me

Oh this one is great too.

I especially love the fact you can choose to do only Sonic 1 or 2 or the special stages without the need to have all 3 characters.

This is my go to hack for Sonic 1 and 2 outside of the remasters/recompilations.
