Double inputs when playing on controller

For some reason, my controller has been bugging out only on this game with any movement on menus going 2 spaces and in game the camera scrolls up even when vertical looking is off. When I use the keyboard with the menus and game, they work fine. Has anyone else run into this?

I noticed it happened after I gave Steam permission to have controller configuration support, and when I turned it off, it went back to normal.

Just changed the steam controller settings and it worked. Thanks Elite!
