We can just reply you directly in this MB. Yeah, I play Q3A. Well, what's the problem with "some maps"? I dunno, tell what kind of map are (Imported maps or default maps...) and what is wrong with them.

I've since found better better first-person shooters to play.

with imported maps..
i put them on the baseq3 folder....but they dont show on the list when i start the game..

Try on "Skirmish" if you're going to play singleplayer on them. If you're going to host a server, the new maps should appear in the list, the way "Skirmish" does. Depending on the map type, you should look on "CTF", "Tournament", or "Free for All".
