As in, do you think the revolution should'nt have been renamed to Wii

and if you choose Yes state a reson


I choose yes because Wii is soething a 4 year old might use, plus with alot of wii jokes getting around

This = NINTENDO'S BIGGEST MISTAKE
 
Revolution was a better name because the console is just that. Wii is kind of cryptic, and easy to make fun of.
 
I think the only issue with the "Wii" name is that it's easy to turn into a penis joke, and that's not really something you want in an environment where every console name gets immediately turned into a dumb joke by fanboys. Although I guess they're taking out the middleman, and creating the dumb joke on their own.

Agreed. The name was very creative in may ways, as its sound means various positive things in different languages, but even though the pee slang was its only flaw, that just brought it down the whole way. It's rather a pity, really.

Because of this, my friend will probably be making a whole bunch of Wii jokes. It will get old, but he will still continue with it. I would later beat the crap out of him in an attempt to shut him up.

Coincidentally, my dad just called this the Nintendo Zii right now. <_<
 
I voted yes becase the revlotion name was like the name for the NexGen systom witch was ment to bee intresting.

Oh and becase Nintedno Wii is its name.Nintendo made a Wii no wonder I like Sega more. :roll:

But mostly the first one.
 
I liked revolution much better.

But after the initial outrage, Wii doesn't sound that bad.
 
Its just like the PS3 controller and bananas/boomerangs/******/etc.

And because of that, Sony got touchy and decided to redesign the controller.

Who knows? Maybe Nintendo will cave in too, but after all of the -other- wacky antics they've pulled, I doubt it.
 
They could have named it a lot of things. The Revolution, The Game Prism, the Gamecube 361, the Zeshiro.... But I think should stay. I like the name now. It's kind of grown on me. And the jokes will die down eventually. Or just be killed in a matter of days by someone repeating the same joke over and over.

I think nintendo is In heroine or something else, cause now it seems that nintendo is thinking of retarted names

i mean Come on now... Nintendo is loosing Ideas with the names and Slogans for them

i think sooner or later, people are going to stop buying nintendo products because of thier names or how they look, Ect...
 
I actually like the new name, it's a name that would require thought for making, and the pronounciation of it means positive things in many languages, 'cept english.
 
I perfer the Revolution as a name. The only jokes I thoguht of would be the fact that my friend will say, "Hey, look! A Nintendo! WHEEE!!!"



Wow, I'm surprised that he hasn't made me go mad yet...
