Do I need to buy the battle DLC to 100% SA2 on xbox? (No chao karate)

For context I own and play regular SA2 on xbox without the battle DLC.
I was looking at my emblem stats in SA2 and in the chao garden page I noticed that next to the race emblems theres a emblem category that says ”???” I’m sure that this is chao karate but I have the normal SA2 without the battle dlc and if the chao karate emblems still display, does that mean that I’m forced to buy the DLC to get these emblems?
And I checked other sources beforehand to see if this is the case (I think it is in fact, the case :sadthumbsup:) but someone said that the emblems maybe change to the dreamcast count if the dlc is not bought. (I really hope they do :<)

If you want to beat the game 100 percent, then you have to buy the Battle DLC. The maximum amount of Emblems you can get without the DLC is 176.

I bought it... and my chao is a one-punch man tank. The swim stat swaps for defense and aside from stamina which is at lvl 99 my swim stat is at lvl 56 and it’s already at half of the second level meter. He barely gets any damage even on expert. (THAT’S MA BOY :wow:)
Atleast one good thing I got from spending 2 dollah on a dlc that should come with the game itself.

Those cheap rats! I don't know what's worse, the fact we need to pay more money for a 100% or that still the base version is just SA2 Battle without the extra content but still with some downgrades like cutscenes or broken input.
