I tried doing the map map50 -noresetplayers startrings 200 to get all of the emeralds, and in 1.09.3 it said i need devmode enabled. How do i enable it?

-noresetplayers has been removed.
No it hasn't. It has in netgames, but it's still there for it's intended purpose.

You turn on devmode by typing "devmode on" in the console.
It inables a few debug commands, and gives you a map by pressing the stats button.

-noresetplayers should be only avaible in devmode, and when in multiplayer. (because you cannot save in multiplayer)

But some crazy idiot tought you could cheat in multiplayer and removed it. Simple: YOU CANNOT SAVE IN MULTIPLAYER, SO WHY WOULD YOU THINK YOU CAN CHEAT?!?!?!

Either put -noresetplayers back in for multiplayer only, or make devmode a option for multiplayer too.

Actually buddy, in passed versions (I havn't tried to do it with 1.09.3.xx) you could save in multiplayer by merely using the console. If nobody put it in the errors, you should probably still be able to.

Yeah, you can indeed save in multiplayer, to allow you to continue cooperative games in a later sitting. That's not a bug, it's entirely intentional. If it doesn't work in 1.09.3.X, that's a bug and should be fixed.

You aren't getting -noresetplayers back. Period. It's a cheat code and it's unnecessary. Go make your lame Hyper Sonic coop games another way.

Remind me again what it did? I'm assuming it's self-explanatory, but still.
It's just that, it doesn't reset the player data when switching maps. Players keep their rings, score, lives and emerald count. I'd assume they also keep other rather infrequent items, such as ring weapons and fire flowers, but I can't be sure. They might save invincibility/shoes time as well, dunno.

-noresetplayers is an extremely powerful cheat and IS the source of all n00b mr4 coop games, anyway.

Still, I think that SOMETIMES it's a bit fun to play netgames cheating.
If not for me, then for the noobs, noobs have rights to.*prays to God that you forget he said that*

I'm thinking of making a SOC that would make SuperSonic matches more fun. But it would be kind of tricky, and I'm not sure I could get it to work with much ease. Anyways, you're right, I recall gaining Rapid Rail in 1.09.2 in Meadow Match because of -noresetplayers. It does maintain ring weapon data.

Even if you would save multiplayer, you won't get anything unlocked. As I said, you cannot cheat with -noresetplayers if you just make it say it modified the game.
