CTF Contest

Since the official contest doesn't hold one even after 1.09...

The rules are pretty much the same, no custom textures, music, whatever as all the maps will be combined into one single WAD for convinence and nothing stolen, previously released or unplayable. You may post a link to it here or send it to cole19119@gmail.com

The deadline is January 20th, two months like the official contest. If you don't get a level in by that time, that's it. You're gonna have to do something else with it. Anytime after the deadline, the voting will start. The scoring goes the same: Rate each map 0-10 and at the end, the scores are tallied by the average. If you vote on all maps, your lowest score will be dropped, to encourage voting.

The prize? Uhh....recognition? :P Seriously, I have nothing of real value to give out as a prize but isn't bragging rights enough? If it's enough for you, I could declare your map UNofficial CTF Level Of The Month. :P

That's about it. I hope to get in at least a few entries...

Will you accept maps that are also entered into the official Nov/Dec contest? By the time this contest reaches the voting stage, the match pack will've been public for almost three weeks -- but if that doesn't bother you, I'll do a dual submission, to make up the numbers if nothing else.

Well CTF maps normally double as DM maps so I don't see why not. It's basically a lot like the normal contest, as you can tell. Any maps entered in the Nov/Dex contest can be entered here too.

I got the name for the level off of a t-shirt I saw a few days after I made the design on paper.
