As it happens, the THZ2 pusher polyobjects slide a bit to the side. You happen to be on the right side to be crushed as the polyobject in question is moving towards you in that space.
(Someone test this in the next branch for me just to be sure this is already fixed there perhaps?)
Well, you recently merged the next branch's updates into gl-slopes, and I like OpenGL, so I hope you don't mind I test in gl-slopes instead. *Tests*
After about a minute of trying, with different camera angles, in the same side of the same poly-object, Knuckles still chuckles (which he can't do if he's dead). I also tested in both sides of all those pushers for a while, and he still chuckles. I think it's fixed, but I may just be (un)lucky.
