How many CPU cores and threads does SRB2 utilize for software mode? For OGL? Thanks
 
One. For both renderers.
 
I think it would be enough with just two or a core, so you do not play the game very slow on certain maps, also worry about the graphics card.

In theory it is not a big deal for the new machines that are coming out today for sale.
 
I thought Yeva was asking how many cores the game actually uses, not what the best number of cores is to use?

That's right. I was curious how a Pentium vs an i5 (both of the same CPU family and speed) would preform in SRB2. For instance, the Pentium G4400 ($65 USD) would basically produce the same framerate in SRB2 as the i5 6600 ($215 USD) as long as the CPU was the only variable. (I know there are more differences to the CPUs, like cache and boost clock. That's why I say 'basically' the same.) Very interesting, but not surprising IMO.
