console problems: bind command

i want made some bindcommands
but it don't work
this is what i enter in:
1) >bind 1 cecho testing
2) >bind 1 (cecho testing)

p.s. don't mind the ">" it is just where the command starts

p.s.s do NOT send me to wiki, even there i can't find it

You need double-quotes:

bind 1 "cecho testing"
