Confused about Sonic the Hedgehog next gen... ...

I am confused about Sonic the Hedgehog next gen.

1.) Sonic Team (i believe) said this was supposed to be a remake of sonic's 1st adventure. It does not look like it...
2.) In Sonic 1, where is Shadow and Silver?
3.) Eggman doesn't look cool anymore .
4.) There are no robots created by flickies.
And 5.) There are no enemies that are the same as in Sonic 1!

It doesn't make sense...!

That's why you're confused; it never was.

No-one ever said Sonic 2K6 was supposed to be a recreation of Sonic 1. They only said it would be a new game, new style, possibly a series reboot. Reboot doesn't equal recreation.

Though they still lied about the reboot thing, so it's a moot point.

Don't bash Sega. Sega has produced a slew of games more succesful than Sonic. Sonic isn't all that it has going for it. Sonic Team is simply one of the few groups in Sega to produce console based games. Most of Sega's current games are all arcade based.

There's an upgraded crabmeat I saw in a screenshot. Looked like it could roll into a ball!

Its out over here in the UK, so I'd assume its out in America aswell.
