Computer Locking Up...HELP!!! Beginner!!!

My boys play this game on my computer. Windows XP professional. Once they finish their game, they hit "escape" and then "enter". From there the computer locks up. I am left to manually shut the computer down and restart EVERY SINGLE TIME they play this game.

It is very annoying. They want to continue playing the game but I forbid it because of this problem.

If anyone can help, THEY would appreciate it.

Um, why don't they just type "quit" into the console?

We'll need a little more information than that. When you hit escape it brings up the menu wherever it is. What option are they selecting?

If they want to quit, there are other options. Try getting them to hit Alt+F4 to quit instead and see if that solves the problem.

Try to see the drivers. Sometimes, they make that to the games.
