You use paint to draw sprites. You use XWE to make the wad. You use the HEX editor to make the last frames of your wads in lower case if your XWE can't make lower case.
If you still don't know what to do after that, then no form of modern science can help you.

thanks i think i can take it from here but it will probably take me a while to make the sprites

That's a bit more descriptive than the explanation on the site. And for lowercase lumps, use the XWE beta in my sig. But you'll still have to get the XWE off Doomworld first. And if you can't install them, it may be because you're on a limted account in XP?
