Hey, I know I'm new and all, but I'd like to make a character design contest.

There will be four prizes.

-Best Sonic Related Character
-Best Non-Sonic Related Character
-Best Ability
-Best Overall

The entries have to be in by New Years, (A.K.A. Dec 31, 2006 at 11:59) I have one judge, other than me. I might want another judge, but not right now.

They will be judged on:

-Originally
-Use of frames
-Flow (smoothness between frames)
-Use of color
-How the ability fits to the character
-How the ability works

I might put a wad in this contest it seems like a cool oppertunity. I better get to work! :mrgreen:

If that wad fails I have a back up plan Spazzo wad?.
 
You Fail... there will be no character creation contests...

the only contests that can be held are Mapping contests, and they can only be made by Ops/admins...
 
Well then can't an Op or an Admin make a contest, In my mind, it would be a nice add to the site, and besides, I think we need more character wads on the main site.
 
One reason there isn't a character wad contest is that characters are hard to complete (100 plus frames takes a long time).
 
Well no to disrespect you, but can I get another opinion on this? Or add more Character wads to the site, either one would shut me up.

No... you cant get another opinion on it... Contests made by members arent Allowed
 
1. There was a Character design contest quite a while back, IIRC, but it failed, mainly due to the amount of time/effort needed to create a character wad.

2. Of course you can create a contest, it wouldn't be an offical one, but there is absolutely nothing stopping you from creating one if you wish.

Well I might make one, but it will probably not be here, unless I get permission to do one here, just not official.

Ya, I know, and if there are no entrys for it, I won't give out that prize, or I could give it out, for best use of ability.
 
This is the stupidist idea ever...not only will this be a crappy recolor fest, it will also bring about a huge flamewar in the end too...
 
This is to the people that are saying this will fail due to the amount of time to make a character are forgetting that some people have finished wads that they want to put in this.

That is what im trying to say, thoes people who have characters done can enter, and see how good it really is, and thoes who want to make one by the deadline can try, mind you, it might be just a recolour, but they at least tried.
 
Okay, I made the contest at my friends board for thoes who want to enter...

The site is Removed. No spam.
