By taking the main route, and entering the room with a column with platforms rotating around it, you should take the path inside the column, instead of leaving the platforms. At the end of the top path you'll find swinging spike balls suspended on some wooden beams. Get on top of them, and you'll find some nearby nonexistent terrain will have its texture bleed out.
