I went through with only knuckles.
I cant get through with only tails (too hard)
I cant get through with only sonic (impossable)
 
I don't know, if I knew how to make custom character abilities, I would make it. I don't know...
 
I have been thinking. I think I can figure out how to make this work (not sure).

Character Switching
Ok. Replace Sonic character with a wad of the SPEED Formation (all 3 characters in the wad). Replace Tails character with a FLY Formation wad (all three characters). Replace Knux with a POWER Formation character. Now you will be able to switch formations by pressing 1, 2, or 3. I think that might work out all right.

SPEED Formation
The sprites for spindash can be made by making all of the characters that are put into the wad huddle close together and boost when the button is released. Super Speed Thok is the same as the regular game of course. I don't know how the tornado attack will work though.

FLY Formation
Make the formation like in Sonic Heroes where they are hanging onto one another. The wad won't be able to spindash. I don't know how the Thunder Shoot will work out though.

POWER Formation
This character can't spindash either. I don't know how to make the power character throw his/it's teammates though. Change the sprites of this wad to where when the power character glides, all charaters in the wad form the Triangle Dive.

Formation Changing Gates
The gates that you walk through to change characters. I don't know how we will be able to make them change the characters, but I have an idea for them. Make the POWER gate have a red FOF. SPEED Gate has a blue FOF. And the FLY Gate has a yellow FOF. I think that may be a cool design.

PS- Please tell me if this made any sense of not.
PSS- Just in case you did not understand, the SPEED FORMATION will be a seperate wad that replaces Sonic. The FLY FORMATION will be a seperate wad that replaces Tails. And the POWER FORMATION will be a seperate wad that replaces Knux.

It made sense. I believe this is possible. You just combine all the SRB2 sprites Sonic Tails and Knux in one sprite with the different formations.
As for the thunder shoot and knux throwing his team mates you could just make them use ringslinger+homing or whatever item.
 
I'm afraid I have some bad news. I am quitting the making of THIS mod, because of: time and patience. So, I leave this project to another soul who wants to complete it. Who wants to do that, PM me. Instead of this mod, i'll make a mod of levels, that are not the exact ones from Sonic Heroes, but consist of trading characters. (At least, I think I will, I might abort it...)
 
You know what? I'll continue with my Sonic Heroes Mod! Forget what I said in my previous topic!

I would like it to be mainly for Net games so 3 players have to team up you can do more if you want.

But what about characters that aren't Speed, Power, Fly like:

Bouncy(Yes canned but I still use it LOL)
Mario
Luigi
and others...
 
Well, those who want to use the other characters, use them. Even though they wont work. OR it could be a challenge.
 
I have tried other characters in the level and it give it
a different experience, for example Double Jumpers can get over the Fly part becase they can double jump on the fly box and then double jump on plat form, but there are some part they can't get trough like the big wall for fly the can get over the first wall but not the second.
 
YAY!!!

I AM SOOO GLAD THIS IS BACK! I am one of the few (or only) fans of SH, and revisiting the levels in SRB2 form would be awesome! Has there been anymore progress on Seaside Hill? Are all the levels planned (except maybe grinding oriented levels [possible lightdash patterns?O_o]), or will some be cut out? The teams will be hard and will take a long time to create the sprites ([5x3]3 for each team. That's 45!), but I'm sure you or anyone helping can accomplish it if you don't rush to release it and make a quality mod!
 
Well, I wont promisse anything in this... year. Except for ONLY Seaside Hill. Because I'm making a very hard mod: detailed levels, changes of praticlly everything (or maybe not), GIANT levels... Plus, I'm getting a little bored of making levels. When I'm in the mood, I'll make a large percentage of it.

Some times that happens! Don't know why tough. I'll remove one of them, you can also remove yours, so it makes sense.
