Basic rundown towards a new system?

I've seen a few people here edit their (Top left) board for their own wads
The board with the Rings, Score etc
How exactly, by code, am i supposed to change this
Infact, how do i align the scripts to do so in zone builder? Or do i need to use the traditional Doom builder but with the SRB2 Edits

I'm ready to fully learn the language The engine uses to just know how to do small changes like this
(My goal is to remove that system and replace it with a 3 heart system)
Any help?

PS:Asked a dev about it privately, and i don't think it's a viable option for this kind of question so please don't suggest me to do so

Though, how exactly are you supposed to have the hud's modified script included in the wad, do you just load the modified one and export the wad? does it all come together in one pack?

Open your wad using Slade 3 and add a new entry to it, name it MAINCFG and view it as text/txt, and put your codes inside it then save.

I see
Slade 3 is essential at this point
