ManimiFire

Meow Motherfuckers.
I know that were people that say that if I'll make mods from
other peoples codes and tools and sprites, it will be bad.
So now I take the chance and create level in MYSELF, in
new robo sprites, and in NEW BASE, the level is calling:
"B.A.S.E"
AGAIN, don't ask me why this level calling like this...
This map is suppouse to be a trap of Dr. Sparkman
to TEAM X in his rules...
(Screenshots sucessfuly updated again)

It's pretty bare bones so far. Can you think of ways to make your level look more interesting? Think like an architect. Make buildings, add scenery.

Well yeah... I'm updating all the day... And I gonna update the screenshots...

And please, give me a chance, and don't close this thread yet :(

Thrust me, give me ideas and I'll make them, EVEN BUILDINGS!

You just need to come up with terrain so your level isn't just a box -- you don't even need a plan necessarily, just make sectors with lower and higher floors and spruce them up -- be creative. The key to level design is mostly architecture. Also make sure you're well acquainted with floor over floors.

The texturing could use a little bit of work. As of now, everything's pretty hard to look at, especially in the second and fourth screenshots.

For now, I 'll upload the map as trap and not as
normal stage, just feel the changes and the new textures...

Next time you have a update for the images. Make it an actual difference.

Depends which; contact the person who made the character by PM and ask them for permission.

Ok, I'll ask him... thanks

Oh yeah, can you help me? where to find PM?

---------- Post added at 05:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:29 PM ----------

Anyway, before you'll told me how to find him, so I gonna update
the screenshots...

Looking better than what you started with. Obviously some major improvements can be made but I think you knew that already. Good work

B.A.S.E = Buildings Are So Echk

The thing that echks me the most are those skyscrappers in the fight containing Brak Eggman. At this point, it'd be better to use DCZ textures, because right now, it looks like Eggman raised some cardboards skyscrappers around the arena lol; which, don't get me wrong, can be good if used in a correctly themed map, but right here, yeah, use DCZ textures on 3d buildings.

You're starting to get the idea, though it might help if I give you a couple more pointers.

This is a little small of an image, but take a look at the walls:

Map23-21.png

You'll notice that the floor and ceiling use graphics that are very subdued, meaning they don't stand out that much. The wall to the right doesn't pop out, and also it uses a bigger texture, so it doesn't repeat as much on the wall as a smaller texture would.

These are the kinds of textures you want to put on all of your big walls and floors because they're less distracting. Most of the textures you've used can be useful, but you want to save them for smaller sectors. For instance, the gate in this image uses a complex and noisy texture, and that's okay because it doesn't take up the entire screen.

Keep experimenting!

Thanks, I'll fix it.

But you know how to find the user PM? Who made the character?

PM just means "private message". You can PM someone by clicking their username and choosing "Send private message" in the dropdown menu.

I don't know what character in question you're referring to.

Lat' said that I had to ask for permission for someone that made my was sprites.. Isn't it?

Oh right! "I" made the character, I want to insert MY wad "Manimi" to this level, so I can insert my character to this new level with my permission?
