i have'nt been in these forums for long, but some avatars are very good
to the point, where is good site to get avatars? and is they a way to use a picture stored on the computer as an avatar?

Most of us made them ourselves. My current one is a scan from a card from a game called 'Fish eat fish'. If you'd like, send me your avatar of choice and I'll upload it somewhere and give you a link.

There's really no place to get good avatars. You have to make them. Like mine, it's a beta sprite from the mod I'm working on

Best way to get avatars is to make your own and then use a free image hosting service, which you link too in your profile.
