I think Deadsky didn't read the title right, he asked for the SRB2 Style.

So, this is kinda easy and hard to explain, SRB2's modern artstyle is a mixed bag of AA (Anti-Aliasing, or Double A) Shading. So if you want to make a sprite with good AA, pretend if you were drawing a line, then if that were to be put as a background for a pixel art maker (*cough cough* Pixilart.com/draw *cough cough*) Then if you see the part of the line that goes through half a pixel? A good way to fix that is to get an "in-between" color. Then use that. Sorry if this didn't help very well.
