I was working on my wad when XWE said to close and onpen the file to avoid corruption, but that didn't help, because it said the next time I opened the wad in the game that the patch AFall1 P@ was missing.
Please help, this is going to be the best wad I've ever made, because it is a major mod, and I can't finish it without help. Thanks

Yeah XWE messes up things a lot, I recommend Slumped since it does less stupid stuff like that.

XWE makes backups, so open one of the backups with out the error and you should be good.

I'd use the last backup file that was made, and continue from there. If that doesn't work, try the one made before it... just keep doing that until you get to the one that works right. (Mainly what Torgo said.)

But how would I conver the .bak file into a .wad file?

Okay, but I found another way to recover the levels. I recovered all but one, but luckily, I had the a copy of level I lost saved in an external wad! Thank you everyone.
