All it is is metal harbor, just open the music.dta in a wad editor like XWE and select O_map42M and save it as an external file, but, you'll need to have the ogg vorbis codec, its on ssntails site in the music section.

I've already got all the SA2(B) music, plus SA(DX), and STH, and SH, and sonic CD, and SRB2, and sonic rush

3 from sonic R, one from sonic MC, and one from gems.

yes, i know, SAD.

Which I would rip and upload onto my site in it's entirety if I could just find that blasted CD.
US or Japanese one?

...because the US one's pretty crap in comparison. It doesn't have all the tracks, only the "best of"; the Japanese one, on the other hand, has 'em all, albeit missing the character themes.

That's because the themes had already been previously released in the 'Cuts Unleashed' album. All seven songs: It Doesn't Matter, Believe in Myself, Unknown from M.E., Throw it all Away, E.G.G.M.A.N., Fly in the Freedom and Live and Learn; both with vocals and not. Pretty damn sweet if you ask me.

You'll try and find an MP3 from a website that exclusively does MIDI? Good luck.

Frankly, you're better off going to Shadow of a Hedgehog where the Japanese version of SA2's soundtrack is (trust me, it IS better than the US one - same songs, of course, but it has the whole kit and kaboodle, while the US one doesn't), but if you want to try it, I won't stop you...

Vgmusic? All you'll find there is crappy sounding midis. You already have it on your harddrive, just extract it from SRB2.

Okay, I'll admit that all you'll find is MIDIs, but I draw the line at "crappy-sounding".

Somebody still hasn't fixed their sound card's MIDI support, I see.

Never heard of it. Might be why MIDIs sound crappy on your machine.

See, if it was a Sound Blaster, I could try and point you to the glory of sound fonts, which improve instrument quality and whatnot... but I can't guarantee that your card supports that. Although if you want to start giving that a whirl, there's always SynthFont.
