Adding in Custom Music

I am not really sure how to add in custom music to a WAD. I want to add in an mp3 file I have converted to Ogg Vorbis format into my new wad, but I get a sigsegv when I start SRB2. I am using Lumpmod and simply guessing as how to add it in as the Editing page was no help at all...

A common misconception is that the music has to be OGG. You can use either OGG or MP3.

Although that doesn't help answer your question...

I wouldn't consider myself a real expert in this area, but I think that you need to insert the MP3 or Ogg file as raw lump data. This would be most easily accomplished with a tool like Lumpmod. Unfortunately I don't know where you can find Lumpmod, it doesn't appear to be anywhere on the internet.

But that's only part of it, the other part would be naming the music. It's been a while since I made a wad with custom music so I don't remember how that works.

It is ok, I have figured it out now. Get lumpmod from a441's website,(http://a441.mine.nu:5050/)then use a command prompt to open up lumpmod in your srb2 directory and type the following:

lumpmod wadfile.wad addfile MAPxxM musicname.ogg

BTW, this could be useful for newbies who want to know how to do this..
