The notion that we're trying to bubble-wrap the community is false. If we weren't willing to facilitate constructive feedback on each-others' work, we wouldn't have discussion tabs, period. People can learn without a rating—we want to avert people seeing ratings as the only form of validation, or the bare minimum for feedback.
If you believe you're owed the distinction of a high rating for your work, or that other people's work must be condemned for not meeting your standard of quality, we're not condoning that attitude, sorry.
