I was thinking about it, and then realized something. Excalibur Sonic is golden and has a red cape, right? So... does the band around Sonic's glove (It's gold and red...) have anything to do with the armor or no?

Still haven't beat the game yet due to me disappointed I ever got it. It was a waste of $50, so I wouldn't know.

I think the band and armor is just a color scheme. It might have to do with the armor actually.
