How do I add sounds greater in length/size than XWE allows? I mean, it's been done for the main game, I need to do it too.

Sounds are wavs converted to DoomWav format using any doom sound tool, including XWE. >_> XWE has only the limit that the sounds must be 8-bit and mono, as far as I remember, so this topic is pointless. Yes, when XWE converts it, XWE will be unable to play it properly, but that doesn't matter.

No, it also shortens the length of the sound.

I need them longer than what it resizes it to.

Ehm, some of the musics in my WAD for SRB2DX takes more than 4 minutes and aren't shortened. How much long are those sounds???

Are they in WAV format? If not, you're not helping any.

Maybe I should be more specific.
I have the sound saved as 8bit mono.
It loads to XWE fine, but after saving it to doom wave, it's shortened...

Music and sound effects are two different things, Sik and JJames. As far as I can tell, XWE at least shortens the sound effects when it plays them, I haven't seen it effect them in SRB2 yet but I haven't really been trying anyway. ^_^' I suggest you try some other editor like DeePSea if this is the case, SS2005, I don't think you'll be getting much more help here. :?

That's what I was saying really. XWE treats WAVs as sounds and compress them as such...MP3s and OGGs aren't handled that way so they aren't effected.
