Yeah. I found lost in my HD (from more than 1 month, I suppose) a freeware C (not C++) compiler for make BINs for MegaDrive. Weird, but real. It's true that you must do everything from scratch (however I have some functions extracted from examples, and the original "SEGA" speech sound source!!!)... But well, try make a MegaDrive game for test is cool (for the people that wanted sometime make a game for it)...

What do you think?

You think that's weird? I think the fact I stumbled upon a Saturn emulator that, aside from its somewhat sluggish speed and sometimes poor sound (though in its defense it's usually very, VERY good), runs games almost perfectly, just by browsing SFGHQ's new forum, to be pretty weird.

It's true, too:

I compressed those the best I could, but I guess linking them is better than posting them outright, for our 56K friends... *coughGETTHEHECKOFFITcough*

Shuffle is right, Shadow Hog. And don't talk me about that, I suppose that I have enough emulators for emulate more than 10 different types of machines. :S

As if that's an excuse to pass up another. ;)

But if you hate this so much I'll just move it to another topic.

I think he is talking about Cassini. http://www.barnitos.net/cassini/

That's it? Bleh, that's what I already use. Still can't run Clockwork Knight worth a lick.

My bad, I guess I didn't mention the emulator. It's not not NOT Cassini, it's SSF Prototype 007 Alpha R8, and is much, much better than the former emulator.

You'll need a BIOS, which, obviously, I won't post here. It ran Clockwork Knight just fine for me, and Clockwork Knight 2 as well (although of late it hangs at the opening video, it DID play it the first time I tried it and let me play the first level, which was fun, and it'd have kept on going if I didn't stop in the middle of it).

Also, it requires the actual game CD to play. I don't do that; I use Virtual DAEMON Manager, which creates virtual DVD drives for me to load backup images (or ISOs, same thing really) into the emulator, which in turned is fooled into thinking they're actual CDs on an actual DVD drive).

Have fun.
