Nothing went wrong, Sryder13 created some new fixes for OpenGL and they're planned to be added into SRB2 now.

The delaying 2.1 thing was a joke. Rob was kidding. KIDDING. But here's some real information for you:

Wow... I'm mad I was extremely late making it here, but my inner fanboy has now set in. SRB2 2.1 is finally coming?! This weekend no less? Man. I'm mad I missed the announcement but at the same time I'm glad I missed this so it wasn't gnawing at me like the Release of Super Smash Flash 2 with Online Multiplayer (v0.9b) is.

Can't wait to come back (I haven't played SRB2 yet this year), and see a lot of old and maybe some new faces.

It's so surreal. We've been waiting so long. It's unbelieveable that one day this was posted like "HEY GUYS, WE FINISHED 2.1, BUT WE NEED TO TEST IT."

Well, you're pretty new to the party. I haven't experienced much myself. Only other released I've seen was of 2.0 in 2010. I've been around since 1.09.4, which is still fairly new in the community.

As we get closer to release, I'd like to remind everyone that the day 1 release will involve only a BitTorrent download, like the previous several releases. If you want to play the instant it comes out, you'll want to have a BitTorrent client installed. After the initial traffic spike we'll put up normal download mirrors.
