2.1.12 does not play audio at all

Just as the title says. Audio worked fine from initial release of 2.1.12 to about a few hours ago. I started the game in MIDI mode to test something and all sound died upon load.

Since then, nothing seems to solve the problem: volume settings, restarting the computer and reinstalling SRB2 itself. I have also tested it in unmodified SRB2; still no sound.

srb2log.txt does not display anything out of the ordinary, and srb2dd.exe plays audio without problems.

This is a bug with the way the SDL2 build handles MIDI volume. For whatever reason, the method used ends up adjusting the game's master volume in Windows instead. For now, the workaround I told Evil to use over IRC is to start playing a MIDI track (e.g. TUNES AK), turn MIDI volume all the way up in the game's options, and then resume whatever you were doing. Alternatively, open Windows' volume mixer and readjust the game's volume back to normal.
