Wow. This is the first thread I made in a LONG time. :|

Anyway, as some of you might know, I'm working on a brand new WadAuthor tutorial thingy. a441's tutorial is rather outdated. And I hope on making an even more helpful one.
I'm planning on having beginners basics and advanced techniques. As well as various reference guides.

Now, one of the reference guides which I am making right now is a Map Header reference guide.
1.09 has some new Map Header stuff, correct?
I already have SKYNUM and MUSICSLOT covered (I cycled through them). I just need info on anything that's diffrent from 1.08, such as TYPEOFLEVEL, as it is probably diffrent since the removal of Chaos mode. And there's a new thing that sets how long until you get a TIME UP death, right?

So, in short: I'd like to know as much as I can about 1.09 Map Headers, and how they're diffrent from 1.08, please. Thank you. :mrgreen:
 
There is not difference in TYPEOFLEVEL because Chaos mode was removed. Simply, that bit is ignored. But I think that Chaos mode was removed at last moment, and it was disabled really, not removed. There are too many things of the Chaos mode... I think that somebody put code for ignore it... I'll check later...
 
Omega, if you mean about the TYPEOFLEVEL, that Chaos doesn't appear in the list doesn't mean that the numbers for the other things. If you mean about Chaos mode, well, there are a lot of things which are proof that it was removed at last moment. Like in Sonic games. Do you know the guys of SoST?

Of course it was removed at the last moment. We voted on it. It's still in there for the most part, but all code to access it has vanished.
