This is an issue with how controller is laid out by default. One of the buttons used to activate the emerald powers is FireNormal, which is also mapped to the right stick, which controls the camera. Unmap that and it will be fixed

Just wanted to report a bug I ran across. When you have the special ring animation turned on and finish a stage with a token, or finish the NiGHTS stage, if you press/hold spin you'll hear a really fast repeating version of the spin charge sound effect
