I've finally decided to come back from hiatus to post this:
This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. If you die between this checkpoint and the next, this one little guy will cost you a game over. It's just bad enemy placement.
On an unrelated note, the MP3 audio not only hurts the...
Actually, it does play the song that either was loaded with the map's musicslot like you said, or if you typed a tunes number in the console after the level loaded, it goes back to that song. You might want to verify that just to be sure I'm not crazy.
Alright, I was able to locate the emblem by searching down the other path for the spot that appears to be identical to that one. Duplicate areas are so confusing... Anyways, thanks guys.
I have two suggestions:
1) An option to disable the drowning bgm so it only plays the sound effects (a la Sonic CD)
2) An option to make the extra life bgm use a sound effect instead of the bgm.
My reasoning is simple. Whenever you're about to drown, the music you're listening to has to quit...
I've encountered a bit of a problem regarding Tails' emblem in Verdant Forest Act 2. It doesn't appear to exist. I've gone to where the wiki even says it is, looked at the screenshot, was sure I was in the exact spot, and it just didn't seem to exist at all.
To verify the find, I have checked...
I actually liked the "Avatar" movie concepts. The design of the environments, the flora (plants) and fauna (animals) were simply beautiful. I'm a bit of a biology nerd so I tend to be drawn in by those factors. The plot, not so much, but the creatures I saw on screen were jaw dropping win...
If you've already released the update you're talking about, might wanna rename the download to scr_SRB2Christmas2010.wad so it doesn't come into conflict with anyone who didn't get the update...
I was laughing when I saw this. Spacewalk isn't all that difficult, just lengthy, VERY LENGTHY. It's a lot easier to play in now as Sonic than it used to be (play the archived Spacewalk). Not to mention it looks a whole lot better than the original version that dragged on forever with...
Okay so I have 55 of the 56 emblems it says there are in Tortured Planet. I got all 54 emblems placed inside the levels, and one for completing the mod. So I'm gonna assume the last one is the perfect ring emblem?
Regarding the poorly placed emblem in LGZ Act 2, it turns out I WAS using one of the version 7 builds and the problem was actually fixed in V 8.1.1... so yeah...ignore my post about it before.
I did note that the minecart sequence is very buggy and unstable in the current version compared to...
Discovered issue: Liftoff Gantry Zone Act 2's Sonic Emblem is clearly not where it should be (according to your guide on the wiki). The coordinates of the emblem's location (checked the maincfg and confirmed ingame) is inaccessible and out of place. You might want to consider checking this out...
What really catches my attention from Version 7.0 onward is the minecart sequence in Fume Shaft (Act 1 or 2, I can't remember which). Sure, Sonicteam Junior may have had them back in the SRB2 TGF, but you beat them to the punch with the current engine. Props to you for accomplishing that.
You're not gonna remove the loop though, are you? I always considered it surprisingly well placed considering how it usually doesn't have a place in SRB2.
Don't know if this issue has been stated yet but in Eruption Conduct Zone Act 2 when you go into the room where you fight the Crawla Commanders on the giant conveyor belt. If you fall into the lava, there is no way to get back up if you are Sonic.
I know this isn't that important, but is it possible to put the "Icy Tundra" (Tunes 14) that you added into the mod in a slot that isn't occupied by a song already? It's just kinda annoying that the tune overwrites a tune that I would like to listen to during your Gritty Columns levels.
The good news is that I somehow managed to complete this entire mod and unlock level select. Now whenever there's an update, I won't need to start a new file to look for the changes in the levels. Isn't the fun just all too much?
So I took a run through Drowned Downtown in this version and I was awestruck at the harbor. I really like the fact you added those ships (yachts?). Maybe they aren't the best looking, but I've never seen anything like them before in SRB2 and I'm giving you props for this. The derailed train...
