What do you get when a bunch of nerds get together to mod their goobers into Ring Racers, and then some? This pack, supposedly.

(Just sayin, you should try opening these up to see what we have in store. You might learn a thing or two!)

Well, that kind of sucks...
So genuine question: why DO people want to separate character packs so badly? especially TTR
like.. this pack is basically a friend group getting together to add their characters all into one pack, sort of like a group project. cherry picking out what you want from a friend group kinda defeats the point of a friend group project (and a bit mean to the friend group itself), doesn't it???

Plus, you're in control of who you choose to play as. Out of the several characters in the base roster and the multitude of other custom characters people tend to load. lmao

You're right! I can just only play as Fav out of all of them that are loaded in!

On the other hand, one may want the characters to be themed somewhat with whoever else they add, and combine that with freeslots (for characters and especially colors) it becomes an all or nothing situation. If its a low number of characters/colors added, yes you can get away with a merged pack, but the more thats added, the more likely that people can't afford to have the entire pack. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of individual character files, I would recommend doing some pre-themed packs with less characters/no colors to lessen how often the situation comes up.

Finally my boi Skip is back! I've been waiting forever for him to finally return after Ring Racers released, although, i do gonna miss him being on a bike, but this will do, and I'll definitely make it stay true to my signature :wonderful:

However, what really sells this, is not only Stephen's almost entire roster is present, but other of my favorites, like Milne and Iclyn from SRB2 also being here! (atleast afaik this being the first time for them being in a kart)

Thank you for this, and will definitely add them to my largely growing roster.

P.S.: I wanna add a little something to this:

For those playing single player with bots alot (me), i want to be able to control who shows up randomly in my Grandprix/Match Races, and that's what individual character addons can achieve. I will, however, respect all creator's decision if they do not wish to create separate files for individual characters. (plus, from what i'm seeing, most group projects, especially as large as this one with other elements like custom player colors being embedded into them, are gonna be very hard to separate)

Frank's jump doesn't work correctly in reverse gravity.

the limitations of file size. its sorta a muscle memory from srb2 2.2.9
Not precisely. I read somewhere that after 255 S_SKINs are loaded, no more will appear. But as Diskette Projector said, the freedom of adding characters they want to race or play as without the ones they don't want without just dissecting the PK3 to do it. Being fair, to make one character, you end up making the separate wad anyways and as I already keep the individuals, it's really not hard to make a zip for them. Depends how they make their addon I suppose? This case though, the OP has his reasons.
