OpenGL vs Software.

I think both are fine. I really don't care if the effects are missing or there are clipping issues. I can use OpenGL to turn Models on or off at anytime and I think OpenGL looks a bit better, but I can also use Software if I want to have a normal SRB2 experience.

I think this comment is gonna confuse people.

Let me tell ya, software SUCKS, if you’re using some kind of low end device it will lag hard. But for some reason OpenGL works fine on low end devices. (Most of the time)

Most low end devices can't run OpenGL at all because they don't support it, causing the game to crash.

Such as the 2.2.4 mobile port, but it’s kinda obvious that it can’t work since it’s in a web browser and not a computer or actual phone

I use opengl, and it doesnt give me much of perfomance issues, like 30fps but software gives me around 10-5 fps i think.

Sir you just proved my point that software sucks and that OpenGL is more better, thank you

Ah, ok. I'm on a Windows 10 and it works fine for me.
Also my Mac can run some games such as srb2 at 60 fps

you can disable the models in opengl options

opengl looks bland and lifeless, software makes the game more cartoony and colors pop out more. opengl gives me higher raw fps but software is more consistent (some areas like in the massive thz1 goop lake i get 15 fps on open gl and 25-30 with software)

overall i prefer software.

Yeah, thats what I said lol.

OpenGL looks bland and lifeless???? Idk what you mean. The colors look fine for both OpenGL and Software. And I never had issues with OpenGL's FPS, unless theres a stage that contains so many things then the FPS would drop. What device on you playing SRB2 on?
