Addons folder missing

I know how to install mods on robo blast 2 but for some reason i cant find the addons folder for putting the mods in. When i download the game it shows me a folder of random things with no addons folder with it. I do see an addons folder separate from this folder, but when I put mods in it, it doesn't work. So im not sure what the problem is. Could it be that I have the new version 2.2.8?

Make one, first of all, within the folder containing SRB2. Second of all, you have to manually enable addons in-game as well, so make sure you're doing that.

I usually create a folder inside my srb2 folder...

Though if you don't want to I'd try reinstalling (though I'm not sure it will work.) You can also just add mods to your srb2 folder only but I find that weird that its all speeded out

I reinstalled it, then I tried duplicating the installer folder than putting in my own addons folder in it. But it still says the addons folder is empty in the game.

You can change the directory your addons folder is in-game. (at-least on windows, I'm not sure about Mac or Linux)
Go to Settings > Data Options > Add-On Options.
You then tweak the location setting until it says "Custom." Put your directory in there and the addons menu SHOULD recognize it.

Ahhh... I think you moved your srb2 folder somewhere else. wherever you putted it srb2 couldn't read it and generated a new one.
The reason I say this is because this also happened to me. If this is the case go to finder and search srb2, you should find the srb2 the game is using

When I change the location in the addons settings it definetly does something, but it still doesn't see the addons folder for some reason but it still sees everything else. Should I try erasing all data or reinstalling it again or both.

I may help you because I have a Mac OS Virtual Machine, though I haven't SRB2 installed it yet. I will bring up a follow-up question by tomorrow.

It worked for a bit and then it didn't

if you right click on the desktop icon for the game in the menu that appears you have to click "open file location" and you will find the addons folder and other things like the .exe file

This post is from two years ago. The game did not always come with an addons folder at the time.

You haven’t even downloaded the game completely yet lol, put the game in the applications folder, then it will be in your applications then search a folder named “srb2” on the root of your hard drive not “SRB2 2.2” the srb2 folder is different based on your os, then it should have the addons folder which then you can drag and drop the addons.

I will try it and I hope it works for me.

Well I don't have it because I'm on the website version of SRB2 so what am I supposed to do?
