Uhm... F002? Unless you plan on using it for the first enemy (you could just use something like F001A - F001z anyway) then you could always just bump the number up to F003 or F004 etc. (I assume it goes up to F999 or Fzzz)

I'm not too keen on character making but I'm pretty sure the reason is because all your sprites are in PNG format. I haven't made a character but I assume BMP is the proper format. Anyway this page on the wiki might help in some cases (Dunno) but just for future use I'm linking it anyway...
