You get that error if you have the sound set to Midi mode in game. While not really gamebreaking, you can change it back to digital in options to prevent the errors.

For some reason, amys hug & jump animations aren't working for me & its only her running & hurt animations that work

After you downloaded the mod you wanted to use, go to the "SRB2 v2.2" file folder & place it in the "addons" folder & then after that, load the game & go to the addons menu & go to the "addons" folder & load it from there. Then, you're good to go!
