Is there any mods to make me invincible?

I'm really enjoying the game, but the bosses are absolutely kicking my ass, and I really don't want to spend so long to learn a bosses attack patterns and hopefully not get screwed over by random bullcrap that was hidden behind the camera. I just want to know if there are any mods that would make me invincible so I don't have to suffer through these.

The bosses were all designed to be challenging but fair. I don't mean to be rude, but it really does just boil down to practice and patience. If a strategy of yours isn't working, think about the situation and what you might be doing wrong, adapt using a new strategy, and try again. You should be able to figure it out pretty quickly provided you don't give into frustration.

I thought I'd remembered an update that made this no longer restrict saving, but maybe I'm misremembering because of the same update causing mods to be allowed without barring you from saving. I don't use cheat commands while I play so I'm a bit iffy on my confidence regarding that.

That being said, it does seem silly to me that the game would consider you as crossing a line when you use cheat commands, but mods that potentially could give you exactly the same overpowered abilities are allowed. For example, I remember "objectplace" used to count as a cheat and allowed you to place all seven Chaos Emeralds on the ground so you could turn Super right off the bat, but now you can just edit GFZ1 to have them all sitting on the ground in front of you at the start and achieve the same effect without being flagged as a cheater by the game. "god" is similar in that you could just edit the stages to place invincibility monitors all over the place and have functionally infinite invincibility, though at that point I'm not sure why you wouldn't just give yourself all emeralds and max rings instead.

Either enforcing vanilla progress entirely or not caring about cheating at all are the only two standards that make any kind of sense to me. At least by not enforcing against cheating you can say "To each their own" is the standard. Half measures basically just amount to "It's okay if you cheat like this but not like that even though both achieve the same thing".
