Hello everyone! I'm making this thread to show a remake of SRB2 Xmas i'm working on!
In my opinion, SRB2 Xmas is hugely underrated, which is why i'm taking the time to adapt all it's levels to 2.2's level design standards, incorporating slopes, emblems, special stages, and just generally making the experience smoother while still keeping the levels' original ideas intact (shown in the attached screenshot).
So far, Springin' Around is about halfway done, but don't worry, i won't let this mod become lost media and i will update this thread (probably :threat:) .
(oh, and i'll also release springin' around for feedback once it's done :wow: )

Good news for people who like playing the same ninth version of the same op character that makes the game baby mode (cough cough sonic), this will include v.90's version of sonic, since his abilities were way different. Of course he has a multi-thok, but he also has a spamthok by holding spin (i know sonic didnt have both at any point but im not making 2 xmas sonics), and for some reason, a boost rocket launcher. Same thing for v.92's tails, seeing as his flight works more like a moon jump cheat code than anything. Watch as this thread starts absolutely blowing up. :knuxsmug: (i misread the rocket launcher feature as a boost mb)

I actually intended to do this on my own, but if there's anything you'd like to help with, you're free to, i guess.

The current to-do list goes like this:
- Remaster levels from the original version
- Add in the accurate V.90 Sonic and V.92 Tails
- Custom special stages in the style of demo 4.35 (cuz they're peak and the closest to xmas regular srb2 gets)
- Overhauling the main menu to replicate Xmas' menu
- (and maybe a few easter eggs like adding in the xmas help screen :knuxsmug:)

You can do any if you want, but i'm currently working on Springin' Around and Blustery Day.

Alright, can you tell me which ones you'd like to do? (also i should probably open a discussions thread for this mod like we did for srbchasers fanmaps)
 
I have my own version of blustery day, so i'll just post it here.
Also, (sorry if i sound annoying, idk how to phrase it better) i can't help but feel like the new segments just kind of... are the same as xmas, they haven't had enough change, in my opinion.
